Collaboration: architect Nishimoto (Kanazawa College of Art), and BRUNO YORIYASU
An installation made from scaffolding pipes that appear to pierce through the tatami mats of a traditional Japanese house, creating a new elevated floor within the room. By adding a second floor above the existing one, the work transforms the space and changes where people can stand.

Originally built to cool the theater, this installation pumps water from a nearby natural spring and sprays it over the roof. As the water flows across the roof, its sound and splashes reach people passing by.

Yambaru Art Festival / Okinawa, Japan
Created from a story told to us by a child in Okinawa about two deigo trees that survived the devastation of war. In the library of the former Shioya Elementary School, leaf-like sculptural forms inspired by the deigo tree and hanging screens for video projection were suspended throughout the space. The floating leaf forms, projected images, and light unfolded the story across the entire room.
